I have long been a huge Best Mate fan, and when I knew that Mr Lewis was creating a charity, I decided at once that I would like to donate a painting. I have been an artist since graduating from University in 1995, and although I paint all animals, my first love is for†National Hunt Racing, and I have painted a number of famous names in the past (Red Marauder, Cool Dawn, French Holly etc..)†It was a difficult choice how to portray Best Mate - there have been many action paintings of him during the last few years. I decided to create an oil painting that was both simple but detailed - he is such a wonderful example of a thoroughbred athlete that I wanted to show his beauty and conformation in all its glory. The original oil measures 20 x 24 inches, and we hope to auction it later in the year. The prints measure 16x19 inches, and are printed on top quality giclee paper, and have been signed by myself and all the connections. It will be a 750 Limited Edition.†
Price: £150 framed or £65.00 unframed + £4 postage.
